True, but what I wouldn’t give to have an AP1 with a happy-to-see-you Mugen SS body kit.

I quite like the AP1’s front bumper. but a mugen hardtop! now THEN you’d have me drooling

How/why do people pull this stuff on public roads?

Always on the lookout with red cars. They’re destined to do something stupid.

Weren’t the AP1s somewhat known for doing this?

I mean, the AP1 demands someone who is going to drive it like the sensitive, balanced machine it is.
The AP1 I bought two weeks ago is the first RWD car I’ve owned, and it feels quite natural to me. That means that if I let off in a corner or the camber falls away (as in the video), the back WILL give a shove. You can’t attack an unfamiliar corner at 10/10 and expect to just cruise though it.
TL;DR: yes :)

I don’t think he intended to pull this stuff. He was enjoying a twisty road and he messed up.
He was probably pushing a bit hard. But which of us hasn’t done that from time to time?

I just can’t imagine getting close enough to the limit on the streets to get one of my cars to spin. It’d make me too nervous with traffic, uneven road surfaces, blind corners, etc.
I know I sound like an old man :) I enjoy a good curvy road more than most people, but I’ve never even managed to approach a car’s limits on a spirited drive.

Perhaps it depends on the car. The S2000 is known to be a bit twitchy: light, powerful, stiff and with a neutral (read: not biased to understeer) weight distribution.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

for me it’s AP2 or nothing. even if I bought an AP1 I’d have to swaps on an AP2 front bumper.
please forgive the wheels. It’s not easy to find a good pic of an S2000 with our a lip on the front bumper.
